World Cup 2026 — Group F
The Dutch Oranje bring Van Dijk's leadership, Gakpo's explosiveness, and Xavi Simons's brilliance. Japan's Samurai Blue have upset the biggest names before — and Tunisia and Costa Rica won't make it easy.

Group F Storylines
🌷 Oranje Back on the World Stage
Netherlands enter 2026 as genuine contenders. With Van Dijk marshalling the defence and Gakpo plus Xavi Simons creating havoc up front, the Dutch are well-equipped to dominate Group F and push deep into the knockout rounds.
🇯🇵 Japan's Giant-Killing Reputation
Japan knocked out Germany and Spain in Qatar 2022. They arrive in North America with an even more experienced squad playing for top European clubs. Don't be surprised if the Samurai Blue cause another upset in Group F.
⚡ Gakpo and Xavi Simons — Dutch Dynamite
Cody Gakpo and Xavi Simons are two of the most electric attackers in world football. Their ability to stretch defences and combine with van Dijk's aerial dominance gives Netherlands a multi-dimensional threat that few can handle.
🇹🇳 Tunisia's AFCON Pedigree
Tunisia are one of Africa's most consistent qualifiers and bring tactical discipline and passion. With several players competing in European leagues, they'll be looking to sneak into the knockout stage and pull off a Group F shock.
🇨🇷 Costa Rica's Ticos Spirit
Costa Rica reached the quarter-finals in 2014. While their golden generation has aged, the Ticos bring experience and resilience to North America. Playing closer to home on CONCACAF soil could unlock their fighting spirit.
🏆 Is Group F a Dutch Certainty?
Netherlands look the strongest on paper, but Japan's record of giant-killing means nothing is guaranteed. The race for second place between Japan, Tunisia, and Costa Rica could produce the tournament's most dramatic group decider.
