Spain — EURO 2024 Champions Defend Their Crown

The most talked-about teenager in world football. Yamal became the youngest scorer in European Championship history at Euro 2024, curling a stunning equaliser against France in the semi-final from an acute angle. By 2026 he will be 19 — in the absolute prime of his explosive, direct, technically gifted career. If he stays healthy and fit, he could win the Golden Ball.

Pedri represents a style of football that Spain has been built on for two decades: total control. His technical ability, passing range and football intelligence are elite. A Barcelona product who plays with the maturity of a 30-year-old despite being in his early 20s. He is the heartbeat of Spain's midfield.

Often underrated but consistently important for Spain. Morata's movement, aerial ability and work-rate make him the ideal striker for Spain's system — he creates space for the wide players and arrives at the back post with deadly timing. His Euro 2024 performances were his best in a Spain shirt.

The midfield engine who allows Pedri to express himself. Ruiz provides defensive cover, wins second balls and contributes with powerful drives from range. His partnership with Pedri was one of the best in Europe throughout Euro 2024. At PSG he operates at the highest club level week in, week out.

The left-wing counterpart to Yamal's right-wing brilliance. Williams' pace, directness and ability to beat defenders one-v-one makes Spain's wide attack virtually unstoppable on their day. He and Yamal formed the most frightening winger partnership at Euro 2024.

Spain's first-choice goalkeeper who has grown into the role with impressive command. His distribution and sweeping are excellent — vital in a side that plays a high defensive line. He made key saves throughout Euro 2024 that kept Spain in tight games.
