Brazil World Cup 2026 Squad
Vinicius Jr, Endrick, Rodrygo and the Seleção's full squad for the 2026 World Cup. Can Brazil end a 24-year wait for a sixth world title?
Star Players
Vinicius Jr
Left Winger — Real Madrid
The crown jewel of Brazilian football. Vinicius Jr has developed into one of the best players on the planet at Real Madrid — his explosive pace, direct dribbling and clinical finishing make him a nightmare for any defence. Two Champions League medals and Ballon d'Or recognition have elevated him to global superstar status. In 2026 he will lead Brazil's World Cup challenge as the undisputed number one.
Endrick
Forward — Real Madrid
The most exciting young striker in world football. Endrick joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras and immediately showed composure and clinical ability beyond his years. His combination of physicality, technical quality and natural goalscoring instinct suggests Brazil have found their centre-forward for the next decade. By 2026, aged 20, he should be a key starter.
Rodrygo
Attacking Midfielder / Winger — Real Madrid
Rodrygo's big-game mentality is unmatched. The Real Madrid man scores in Champions League semi-finals and final shootouts. Less flashy than Vinicius but equally dangerous — his intelligent movement and technical ability off the ball creates space for those around him. A vital cog in the Brazilian machine.
Lucas Paquetá
Attacking Midfielder
The midfield engine and creative hub. Paquetá's ability to link play, arrive late in the box and deliver moments of brilliance makes him essential to Brazil's system. His partnership with a deep-lying playmaker gives Brazil the freedom to attack from multiple angles.

Tactical Approach
Formation: 4-2-3-1 / 4-3-3
Brazil's most effective system in recent years has been a 4-2-3-1 with two holding midfielders protecting the defence. This gives freedom to Vinicius and Rodrygo in the wide attacking roles while Paquetá operates as the number 10. Endrick leads the line as a dynamic centre-forward who drops deep to create space.
Strengths
Individual brilliance — particularly from Vinicius, Endrick and Rodrygo — gives Brazil a decisive advantage. In one-v-one situations they are almost unbeatable. Their squad depth means they can rotate key players in the group stage and arrive fresh for knockout rounds. Alisson and Ederson provide world-class goalkeeping cover.
Weaknesses / Concerns
Brazil have struggled in penalty shootouts historically and in recent tournaments have fallen to defensive lapses in crucial matches. The centre-back partnership and the exact striker role have been areas of ongoing discussion. Casemiro's age by 2026 is a factor — Brazil may need to rebuild the midfield base around Bruno Guimaraes.

Brazil WC2026 Squad FAQs
Who will be Brazil's best player at World Cup 2026?
Vinicius Jr is expected to lead Brazil's attack as their standout performer. His development at Real Madrid has made him one of the world's top players. Endrick is the exciting new addition who could define the tournament with his raw talent and energy.
How many World Cups has Brazil won?
Brazil have won the World Cup five times — 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. They are the most successful nation in World Cup history. Their last title came in Japan/South Korea 2002 with Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos. They are desperate to end a 24-year drought in 2026.
Who is Brazil's manager for WC2026?
Brazil's managerial situation has been turbulent in recent years following a disappointing 2022 quarter-final exit. The CBF appointed a new coach to prepare the squad for 2026. Check the latest news for the current head coach and backroom staff.
Can Brazil win the 2026 World Cup?
Brazil are perennial World Cup favourites and with Vinicius Jr, Endrick, Rodrygo and the squad's depth they have every ingredient to go all the way. However, their recent tournament record has disappointed — quarter-finals in 2022, quarter-finals in 2014 (on home soil). The talent is there; the question is consistency when it matters most.
