DFB-Pokal Final 2026
Germany's Premier Knockout Cup — Olympiastadion Berlin
The biggest night in German domestic football. 64 clubs, from Bundesliga giants to amateur sides — all chasing the same silver trophy under the Berlin lights.
Est. Final Date: May 23, 2026 · Olympiastadion Berlin (74,475 capacity)
What Makes the DFB-Pokal Special?
The Wembley of Germany
Olympiastadion Berlin has hosted the DFB-Pokal Final for decades. A Berlin cup final is a pilgrimage for German football fans — the atmosphere, the history, the drama under those famous arches make it one of European football's great occasions.
Bundesliga Giants vs. Underdogs
Unlike La Liga or Serie A, the DFB-Pokal delivers more giant-killings because ALL clubs from Bundesliga down to amateur level enter from round one. Third-division sides eliminating top-flight heavyweights produce some of German football's most unforgettable moments every season.
Double Glory
Winning the Bundesliga AND the Pokal in the same season is the German domestic double. Bayer Leverkusen won both in 2023-24 under Xabi Alonso — an invincible season for the ages. Can anyone repeat that feat in 2025-26? Can Leverkusen make it three consecutive Pokals?
Recent DFB-Pokal Finals
| Year | Winner | Runner-Up | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | Bayer Leverkusen | Kaiserslautern | 3–2 |
| 2024 | Bayer Leverkusen | Kaiserslautern | 2–0 |
| 2023 | RB Leipzig | Eintracht Frankfurt | 2–0 |
| 2022 | RB Leipzig | Freiburg | 4–2 (pens) |
| 2021 | Borussia Dortmund | RB Leipzig | 4–1 |
Bayer Leverkusen are back-to-back champions (2024 & 2025) — can they win a historic third consecutive DFB-Pokal?
