UCL Quarter Final Second Legs — April 2026
The four return fixtures that decide who reaches the Champions League semi-finals. Arsenal, Bayern, Barcelona and PSG all host the second legs across two nights at some of Europe's great stadiums.
How Second Legs Work — No More Away Goals
The club with the higher total across both legs progresses to the semi-finals. Goals in both legs count equally.
Away goals no longer count double if scores are level on aggregate. This has been removed from UEFA competitions since 2021-22.
If level on aggregate after 90 minutes of the second leg, the tie goes straight to 30 minutes of extra time, then a penalty shootout if still level.
Second Leg Previews
Arsenal vs Sporting CP
Leg 2 — Tue 14 AprEmirates Stadium, London | 20:00 CET / 19:00 BST
Arsenal will be looking to protect whatever advantage they built in Lisbon. The Emirates will be packed and rocking — night games in European competition under the lights here are electric. Sporting CP are a dangerous side who have made it this far for a reason; a single away goal could flip this tie entirely given no away goals rule.
Key battles: Arsenal's high press vs Sporting's rapid transitions. Bukayo Saka in wide areas will be central to Arsenal's attacking play. Sporting will be compact and disciplined and look to nick something on the counter.

Leg 2 — Tue 14 AprParc des Princes, Paris | 20:00 CET / 19:00 BST
One of the marquee European ties of the season. PSG at the Parc des Princes is always a formidable proposition and Kylian Mbappé's return with the opposition side adds a storyline layer. Liverpool under the current regime have shown they can match the very best in Europe over two legs.
The Parc des Princes atmosphere will be feverish — a cauldron behind PSG. Liverpool will need to defend deep at times but their attacking quality means this tie could swing dramatically before 90 minutes is done.

Leg 2 — Wed 15 AprAllianz Arena, Munich | 20:00 CET / 19:00 BST
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid in the Champions League is one of football's great recurring stories. These clubs have met at this stage multiple times and each game has delivered drama — Robben's goal in 2012, Madrid's fightbacks, Bayern's near-misses. This second leg at the Allianz Arena promises more of the same.
Real Madrid carry the aura of European royalty and have won this competition multiple times in recent history. Bayern, on their home turf with 75,000 fans behind them, will push them to the absolute limit. Do not miss this one.

Leg 2 — Wed 15 AprEstadio Olímpico Lluís Companys, Barcelona (Montjuïc) | 20:00 CET / 19:00 BST
The Clásico de Madrid in a European context — Barcelona hosting Diego Simeone's Atletico is always tense, tactical and passionate. Barcelona are currently playing at the Olympic Stadium at Montjuïc while the Camp Nou undergoes its renovation, which gives this fixture a unique backdrop.
Atletico Madrid are masters of European football under Simeone — they defend brilliantly, hit hard on the counter and raise their level in knockout rounds. Barcelona will need to be at their fluid, possession-based best to break them down.
